SILICONE ROOF COATINGS At Foam Tight Insulation, Inc. our services are not limited to spraying foam. In fact, we specialize in applying silicone roof coatings. Eliminate Roof Tear-Offs and Stop Leaks We install the only 95% solid, 100% solvent-free silicone roof coating available on the market today. By applying our unique silicone coating over your existing damaged (or new) roof, we can eliminate the need for costly roof tear-offs. This seamless, gapless, waterproof system prevents water from infiltrating your roof which stops future roof failures and leaks. We can apply silicone over numerous roof systems including a rusty metal roof, an EPDM roof, and a foam roof. The silicone system fulls adheres to the roof substrate which eliminates the common sources of leaks and pooling water beneath roofing materials. THE GACO WESTERN GACOFLEX S-2000 SILICONE SYSTEM We are proud to install the only 95% solid, 100% solvent-free silicone roof coating that is available. Gaco Western’s GacoFlex S-2000 is a single-component, moisture-cured silicone coating that is petroleum and solvent –free. Unlike traditional silicone coatings that contain up to 30% solvent (which is released into the air), the S-2000 is 95% solids by volume; therefore, 95% of the silicone stays on the roof when it is cured. Moreover, because the S-2000 is 95% solids, less product is required to achieve the dry mil thickness; this reduces labor costs and time. Benefits of the S-20 Silicone System 1. Eco-friendly system: The S-2000 is a highly-reflective white coating (up to 7 LEED points) which gives the roof a cooler value. 2. Reduced energy costs: A cool roof reduces energy costs and increases comfort levels by reducing temperature fluctuation inside a building. The average energy savings ranges from 7% to 15% of the total energy costs. 3. Extends the life of a roof: The S-2000 creates a uniform, seamless surface that remains flexible even in low temperatures. The S-2000 can expand and contract with the changing seasons which are when most roof damage occurs. The S-2000 endures the continuous thermal stresses over the lifetime of the roof. Moreover, the S-2000 resists blistering under extended ponding water, creates a UV light barrier (preventing substrate degradation), and has a high degree of adhesion. 4. Warranty: The S-2000 carries a warranty of up to 20 years. Spray Foam Urethane Roofing We have been spraying polyurethane foam for over 40 years and we continue to be leaders in our field. We were pioneers of spray foam roofing, and we have completed roofing projects that are still performing for over 30 years. Polyurethane foam roof systems can provide a leak-proof monolithic roofing system that is virtually impervious to water. Advantages of Sprayed-Polyurethane: Conserves Energy - Rigid polyurethane foam offers the lowest thermal conductivity of any commercial roof insulation product. There are no fasteners that cause thermal bridging. Light Weight - The high strength-to-weigh ratio of rigid polyurethane foam makes foam roofing an ideal product for roofing system. Easy To Apply - It speeds up new construction and minimizes exposure during the process and often eliminating the need for complete tear-off. Monolithic - The spray-applied seamless blanket of insulation seals cracks and holes while insulating the roof deck from exterior temperature extremes. Self-Adhering - No special adhesives or mechanical fasteners are required. Spray-applied polyurethane foam offers excellent wind uplift resistance. Self-Flashing - Spray-applied polyurethane foam is self-flashing around stacks, vents, ducts, etc. Extended Building Life - By insulating the roof deck from ambient temperature extremes, damage due to thermal expansion and contraction is eliminated. Green Insulation - Our foam roofing systems do not support molds or mildews, just like our open-cell and closed-cell spray foams. Why Choose Foam Tight Insulation, Inc. For Your Job? It takes more than the ability to spray foam insulation to be a competent polyurethane roof installer. First and foremost, the applicator and the company must be a roofing contractor in order to know the degree of damage a roof has sustained. One must also know what components of a roof must be replaced, how long the existing components can last, and where, if any, leaks occur. While any foam applicator can spray a roof, it takes decades of experience to know the pitfalls that accompany an improperly installed roofing system. There are only a few spray foam roofing companies that have the experience and skill to tackle a foam roofing system.
